Our Back Bay 3rd Annual Sharkfest Rugby Tournament is fast approaching - March 10, 2012. This tournament is for U8, U10 and U12 and is full squad (not 7s). All Southern California teams are invited. Come, bring your team and be apart of this exciting competitive day of youth rugby.

If paying by check, click on the link below to download registration form and mail to address at bottom of form. If paying by Paypal, a $10 transaction charge will be added to entry fees below. Payment must be received by 3/2/12 for your entry to be confirmed.

If teams have more players than the roster limit but not enough for an additional team then they can pay $10 per additional player up to three (3) players at check-in on the day of the tournament. Roster limit is 12 players for U8, 15 players for U10 and 18 players for U12.

Practices are on Tuesday and Thursday nights at home field. Practice times are as follows:
U8 and U10 - 5:00 to 6:30 PM
U12 - 5:30 to 7:00 PM
U14, U16 and U19 Girls - 6:00 to 8:00 PM
U14, U16 and U19 Boys - 6:30 to 8:00 PM
Congratulations to Back Bay Youth Rugby Girls team members Pasene Asuega, Natalie Wilson and Lauren Tonumai Pe’a for making the U-19 Girls Griffins Team this year. Pasene and Lauren are first year players and Natalie has been playing for three years. The Girls Griffins team won the 2011 State Championship, beating Washington and Oregon. The National Title will be contested later in the year. The Back Bay Youth Girls Team is coached by DeLyn Wi Repa.
Back Bay Youth Rugby will be kicking off our 2011 / 2012 Season soon. Last year the U8 and U10 teams won the Sharkfest Championship, U12, U14 and U19 teams all made it to league finals and the U19 Girls team made it and won the league championship.
We will have another strong team this season so come be apart of our rugby family and play for or cheer on the Sharks.
