Where are you from?

I’m from a farm West of Christchurch, New Zealand, but since High School have been living in Christchurch.

What rugby clubs have/did you play for? 

Between the ages 5-12 I played for my local club Darfield; then from 13-18 I played for my High School - Christchurch Boys High School which is a very strong rugby school in NZ, with 5 current All Blacks going through the school when I was there (Dan Carter, Adam Thomson, Colin Slade, and the Franks brothers); After school I joined the club Christchurch High School Old Boys, where we won the Christchurch club competition in 2007 and 2008; In NZ I have also played age-grade rugby for Canterbury and last year played for the Canterbury NPC B side; Following my season with Back Bay I also played a season in Northern Spain for Oviedo.

What is your greatest Back Bay moment?

Going to the Nationals in Austin, Texas

What are you up to now?

I have been living and working in London for a year now and I am playing for a local club called Civil Service Rugby. Fellow 2008 Back Bay member Joe Clarke also plays in my team here. 

Anything you would like to share with the club?

Firstly, I miss the club a lot and often find myself reminiscing about the great times I had both on and off the field with Back Bay. Secondly, I just want to wish the club all the best for the up coming season and say what an awesome club Back Bay is so enjoy your time with the club while your playing, like myself, you will most likely miss it when its over.

Cameron was a key member of Back Bay’s Division II Southern California Championship team and run into the National playoffs. His performance on the field and overall leadership help Back Bay’s promotion into the Southern California first division and earn him forward of the year honors.
